How do I join?
Visit the stand set up at your chosen Universities Freshers Fayre and have a look at what's on offer. If you like what you see and are prepared to offer the commitment whilst developing key skills such as leadership and decision making as part of a team, coupled with a have a go nature, enthusiastic and with a sense of humour when challenged then it may be for you.
What next?
If you do feel it is for you and the organisation feels you may be the right person, you will be invited along to a day when you will be put through the selection process. This will mean being interviewed, asked to participate in a group discussion and give a 5 minute lecturette. Once these are out of the way the staff will decide who the ideal candidates are and they are invited to induction. If you're succesful at the selection day you're almost in... but not yet.
Induction Once selected, individuals attend induction where all necessary documentation is checked, a medical is held and finally a very short run. Subject to a pass in all these areas will mean that you are able to begin training and all other extras such as adventure training and social events held by WUOTC.
